LIL JON For the last decade plus, the words “Yeah,” “Ok,” and “What” have been synonymous with multi-platinum, Grammy award winning artist Lil Jon. He has been one of the most prominent figures in music and pop culture alike, performing for hundreds of thousands of fans with Usher & Ludacris, Afrojack, Steve Aoki, Pitbull, TLC (on FOX’s American Idol), Yandel, LMFAO and Sydney Samson just to name a few. In 2014, Lil Jon proved once again he’s a powerhouse artist teaming up with DJ Snake for their smash hit “Turn Down For What,” which created a massive worldwide craze.
His success as a mainstay in the DJ-world is evident with a current residency at Hakkasan Nightclub (MGM Grand) along with Jewel Nightclub at Aria Resort & Casino. Previously, Lil Jon had a DJ residency for over five years at the Wynn/Encore (Surrender, Tryst, XS); even being named the Las Vegas Resident DJ of The Year. He has traveled the globe DJing worldwide in places such as, but not limited to France, Germany, South Korea, China, India, Dubai, London, Mexico and Australia.
Known best for his role in creating and popularizing the southern movement and lifestyle known as Crunk. Crunk became so popular that Jon became a fixture on Chappelle’s Show and artists not directly connected to him (such as Mary J. Blige) began using the word Crunk in their own music. Jon helped usher the word ‘Crunk’ not only a national scale, but worldwide. The Merriam-Webster Dictionary added the word into their book in 2007.
Lil Jon has a long list of platinum-selling productions, crafting groundbreaking hits for a diverse array of artists such as E-40, Usher, Ciara, The Ying Yang Twins, Ice Cube and more. He’s also worked with will.i.am, Miley Cyrus, Britney Spears, Bret Michaels, Travis Barker, Jennifer Lopez, Machine Gun Kelly, DJ Snake and many more. As an artist, he has sold millions of records as the frontman of Lil Jon & The East Side Boyz, whose smash hits “Get Low” and “What U Gon’ Do” have been among some of the biggest crossover hip-hop records.
KING COMBS Christian Casey Combs, 20 years old, is proving to soon become a multi-facet young tycoon in today’s digital age. Combs is attracting fans and media around the globe with his music as an up-and-coming Hip-Hop artist, and rapper under the stage name “King Combs.” He has also hit the runway for fashion houses such as Dolce & Gabbana, who recently named him the face of their Spring/Summer2018 advertising campaign in January 2018. Recently, the Tommy Hilfiger brand has named Combs one of the faces for their “Tommy Jeans” Spring 2018 collection.
His music represents the new sound and generation of New York rappers. Recently, he released his latest single “Love You Better” featuring Chris Brown, a sampled single that delivers an infused R&B and Hip-hop ballad, bringing back the
timeless sound of the 80s and 90s.
On April 11th, 2018, King Combs debuted his mixtape, “90’s Baby,” which is dedicated to the Hip-Hop and R&B era that has heavily influenced, and inspired his sound as an artist. This project is his first collection of songs to be released. The mixtape captures his East Coast upbringing, while blending it with his current West Coast lifestyle. King Combs presents the 90’s sound from both coasts with his personal touch through his delivery.
In 2016, Combs signed to the music industry’s iconic independent label, Bad Boy Records, owned by his father, Sean Combs. Previously, he was signed to Epic Records by LA Reid. King Combs has already performed at Complex Con in 2017 with DJ Khaled, Spotify’s Dipset Reunion, the 2017 REVOLT Music conference, and Rolling Loud’s 2017 music festival in California. He is set to release his first official album this year.
CAYE Sometimes, an album doubles as a one-way ticket to an exotic destination. Boston-born and Los Angeles-based singer, rapper, and multi-instrumentalist Caye unlocks such a place on his 2018 full-length debut, Pink Tree Paradise [PinkTree Entertainment/Big Picnic Records]. A beachside dream where palm trees sway and crystal blue water glistens, his soundtrack to escape comprises hip-hop rhymes, calypso rhythms, and pop revelations fueled by lush guitars and organic hand percussion. Since he emerged in 2015, this signature style has already earned acclaim from Billboard, Indie Shuffle, Respect Mag, and more, while he regularly averages over 174K monthly listeners on Spotify.
The first official single “Easy” [feat. Wiz Khalifa] fuses breezy 808s with a Kalimba before a sunny and soulful hook. Wiz blesses the track with a hypnotic verse as Caye locks into a focused flow of his own, making for the ultimate smoked-out summer jam.
“I wrote ‘Easy’ when I was flying out to Toronto to see a girl I was in love with,” he continues. “Every time I was with her, I felt a feeling I’d never felt before. Even though the relationship was hard, she made life easy. We’re both from Boston, but I’m in L.A. and she’s in Toronto. We had to split up because of that. The song reflects on the whole situation.”
