Ehhhh this is a bit of a stretch… Critics called out Ed Sheeran’s #1 Billboard hit “Shape of You” for the song’s pre-chorus, which goes: “Boy, let’s not talk too much / Grab on my waist and put that body on me.” That sounded similar to TLC’s classic: “No, I don’t want no scrubs / A scrub is a guy that can’t get no love from me.”

Ed Sheeran wanted to stay away from the drama, so while sitting on a mountain of cash he gave the “No Scrubs” writers, Tameka”Tiny” Cottle and Kandi Burrus official writing credit on the hit.

Tiny has now written 2 official #1 hits, “No Scrubs” being the first. Kandi has three. She is also credited as co-writer on the the Destiny’s Child throwback “Bills, Bills, Bills.”
