The firestorm around Nicki Minaj’s “research” tweet about the COVID vaccine continues. You’ll recall that Minaj did not go to the Met Gala because she has not been vaccinated. She tweeted that she is still doing research about the vaccines, and she said a cousin’s friend in Trinidad got swollen testicles after getting a shot. The health minister in Trinidad shot down any cases of that yesterday. Nicki then tweeted that she was invited to the White House to talk about COVID. She wrote, “The White House has invited me & I think it’s a step in the right direction. Yes, I’m going. I’ll be dressed in all pink like Legally Blonde, so they know I mean business. I’ll ask questions on behalf of the ppl who have been made fun of for simply being human.” A White House spokesperson clarified the nature of contact with Minaj, saying, “As we have with others, we offered a call with Nicki Minaj and one of our doctors to answer questions she has about the safety and effectiveness of the vaccine.” Also, on Wednesday, Minaj said she was done with Twitter. She wrote on Instagram, “I’m in Twitter jail y’all. They didn’t like what I was saying over there on that block, I guess.” Wednesday night, Twitter denied that they blocked Nicki’s account. In a statement, a spokesperson said, “Twitter did not take any enforcement action on the account referenced.” Late Wednesday, Minaj went on a 15 minute IG rant about everything that has happened over the last few days.
My cousin in Trinidad won’t get the vaccine cuz his friend got it & became impotent. His testicles became swollen. His friend was weeks away from getting married, now the girl called off the wedding. So just pray on it & make sure you’re comfortable with ur decision, not bullied
