T-Pain has had the chance to work with some of the best, but there is one person that turned him down, which made him get in his feelings. T-Pain said Nicki Minaj refused to collaborate with him back in 2007. In an interview, T-Pain recalled that when he asked Nicki for a “quick little verse, She was like, ‘Hey, I’m an artist too, and I’m working on my s**t, so ya know, baby chill.’” The Nicki rejection wasn’t malicious. T-Pain said, “Maybe I was in love with Nicki Minaj.” Nicki heard the interview and responded that she doesn’t remember denying T-Pain, “but it DEF sounds like somethin’ I would say.” She said she “was buggin’” and was “under pressure to deliver. My bad babe, all love. I have nthn [sic] but respect for your talent.”
