On Monday, Young Thug was arrested and booked into the Fulton County Jail in association with a 56 count indictment. Thug and Gunna are among 28 people named in the indictment. Many of the accused are associates of YSL. According to jail records, Young Thug was charged with conspiracy to violate the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO) as well as participating in criminal gang activity. Thug is accused of renting a car used in a 2015 murder of a gang rival. Prosecutors said two of Young Thug’s associates asked him for permission to make a second attempt on YFN Lucci’s life. Lucci was stabbed in jail back in February. Young Thug’s attorney Brian Steel said, “I’ll tell you the response to any allegation; Mr. Williams (Young Thug’s real name) committed no crime whatsoever, and we will fight to my last drop of blood to clear him.” Thugger is expected to make his first court appearance on Wednesday.
