Cardi B and Queen B…it’s got a nice ring to it.
Cardi’s engineer, Ashby, posted on his IG story yesterday the below photo of a Pro Tools session with a track labeled, “Cardi B ft Beyonce Demo Wet.” This would lead us to believe that Cardi’s next single could very well be assisted by none other than the Queen herself, and what a way to generate hype for your upcoming debut album.
Last month at the Made In America Festival in Philly, Cardi got the chance to meet Beyonce face to face for the first time. Much to Cardi’s surprise, Beyonce was very fond of the Bodak Yellow rapper, which would make sense as to why the two might have worked together for a song off of her upcoming album.
Slated for an October release, the album has now been pushed back to an unknown release date. The anticipation among fans and the hip-hop community is real however, as many are excited to see how Cardi follows up her mega-hit, Bodak Yellow. Stay tuned for more details as the story unfolds!
