We all have regrets and times where we say, “that should’ve been me!” In the music world, it rings even truer when many of the top artists work with the same producers and beats get passed around until something sticks.
For SchoolBoy Q, he once had in his possession the beat that became Travis Scott’s “Goosebumps” but says he couldn’t come up with anything to turn it into a record worth holding on to. The beat, originally produced by Cardo Got Wings, was actually titled “Goosebumps” by Cardo himself. SchoolBoy says, “Every time me and Travis see each other we always laugh about it cause it’s like, ‘Bruh you just took the name of the beat and made that joint. I blew it!’ The beat was just called ‘Goosebumps.’ That’s one of my regrets, bro.”
Sometimes things just happen for a reason and what you think is meant for you ends up being destined for somebody else. In this case, especially considering “Goosebumps” is one of Travis’ biggest songs to date, I think it all worked out how it was supposed to.
