For the first time in seven years, Nicki Minaj was not crowned Best Female Hip-Hop Artist at the BET Awards, televised last night in Los Angeles. Instead, New York rapper Remy Ma received the trophy. The Best Male Hip-Hop Artist was awarded to Kendrick Lamar.
Other notable winners included Serena Williams for Sportswoman of the Year, and Migos for Best Group.
