Shakira surprised fans in New York City yesterday with a surprise performance in Times Square! She announced the news on Twitter just hours before.

This was all to promote her new album Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran (Women No Longer Cry) – her first studio album in seven years. The record chronicles her public breakup, legal struggles, and return to the spotlight.

Shakira sizzled through numbers like her new song Punteria for 40,000+ screaming fans. The stage doors opened around 7:30 pm with her fan-favorite, Hips Don’t Lie, blaring around the crowded Manhattan street. Check out her full performance below!
