Snoop Dogg’s upcoming comedy movie is pivoting a bit! Instead of being released in theatres, The Underdoggs will now debut exclusively on Prime Video. As the star AND producer, Snoop announced the big news yesterday.

Amazon MGM Studios said the decision was made in order to have it play to the widest audience possible on Prime Video. Seems like movie theatres worldwide would have the widest audience possible, but clearly I am no expert.
In addition to Snoop, the move also stars Mike Epps and George Lopez. It follows Jaycen “Two Js” Jennings, (Snoop) a washed-up former pro football star, who hits rock bottom and is sentenced to community service coaching an unruly pee-wee football team in his hometown. During the course of this, he may just turn his life around and rediscover his love of the game in the process. Anything could happen!
Looking forward to checking this out on Prime Video on January 26th!
