The New England Patriots will defend their NFL title after coming back to beat the Jacksonville Jaguars 24-20 in the AFC Championship game on Sunday. While the Jaguars led 20-10 early in the fourth quarter, Patriots QB Tom Brady threw two touchdowns–including a momentum-changing, go ahead score from Danny Amendola with just under three minutes remaining. While the Jaguars had the chance to take back the lead, Patriots cornerback Stephon Gilmore knocked down a Blake Bortles pass on 4th-and-15 from New England’s 43-yard line with 1:47 left in the game. Brady finished 26 of 38 for 290 yards and two touchdowns for the Patriots (15-3). The Patriots will face the NFC Champion Philadelphia Eagles, who dominated the Minnesota Vikings 38-7, in the Big Game on February 4. It’s the eight appearance for Brady and coach Bill Belichick, who have won five times–including last year’s 34-28 overtime rally against the Atlanta Falcons. Belichick had a rare public display of emotion at the end of yesterday’s game and we loved every second of it!
