The Soul Train Awards are officially returning to television this fall and heading back to the city where the iconic franchise first started! BET announced the revival is set for November 27th in Chicago, honoring the legacy of Don Cornelius who created the original show there in 1971.

For the very first time, the taped ceremony will air on CBS as part of a massive simulcast across BET, VH1, MTV2, and LOGO. The beloved award show was temporarily paused in 2025 due to declining television ratings and overall profitability. At the time, network executives said the show was not canceled, but rather being reimagined for a modern digital landscape.
