1. Gov. Janet Mills and other female Democratic governors will participate in a panel discussion with Julia Louis-Dreyfus, the actress who starred in the hit TV shows “Veep” and “Seinfeld,” during the Democratic National Convention. (PH)
2. The mental health program “Behind You” recently launched in Maine and will give food industry workers in the state access to free mental health counseling sessions. Southern Smoke Foundation is partnering with University of Maine graduate clinical students to offer food and beverage service workers 20 free counseling sessions. (NCM)
3. The first stage of the Portland Hearts of Pine soccer club’s privately funded renovation project at Fitzpatrick Stadium is almost complete. During the last two weeks, crews have done some important site work, including installing underground utilities – electricity, water, sewer, gas, and fiber for internet. The Hearts of Pine will open their inaugural season in the USL League One in spring 2025. (PH)
4. On August 26th Chick-fil-A’s Banana Pudding shake returns. The sweet treat hasn’t been on the menu at the restaurant in 13 years. Fans launched change.org petitions to get the banana pudding shake back. (Today)
