1. Donald Trump’s federal trial for trying to overturn the 2020 election is set for March 4th. The date falls in the middle of the Republican presidential nominating calendar and the day before Super Tuesday. (PH)
2. A driver who appeared to be impaired by marijuana hit and injured four state troopers standing near a driveway on Route 202 in Hollis on Sunday night, police said. Three of the Maine State Police troopers remain hospitalized with serious-but-not-life-threatening injuries. The fourth has been released with a broken foot. (PH)
3. More than 100 children of asylum-seekers will be attending schools in Lewiston, Freeport and Sanford this school year following an influx of arrivals into Maine. Freeport will welcome 67 migrant students. Freeport is also expanding staff with a new language teacher and ed tech position being approved by its school board. (WMTW)
4. A woman cleaning out the Portland home of her late father found two grenades and a claymore Saturday. The Portland Police Department’s “bomb squad” responded to the home. Some of the devices were unstable and removed by a robot. (WGME)
