1. The closely-contested 2nd Congressional District race that was decided by a ranked-choice voting tabulation will now go to a recount. Jared Golden was declared the winner of the ranked-choice tabulation. Challenger Austin Theriault asked for the recount. (WMTW)
2. The Secretary of State just finished a recount in Sanford and confirms that Lucas Lanigan, the Republican incumbent from Sanford, was re-elected by one vote over his Democratic rival after they were tied on election night. Lanigan was arrested and charged with domestic violence aggravated assault in October. (WGME)
3. The Portland Hearts of Pine released their first jersey design during a sold out reveal party at the State Theatre last night. 4. Samuel’s Bar & Grill is moving from its current location on Forest Avenue to a space on Washington Avenue. It’ll take over the spot which used to be home to Parker’s Restaurant and open with the new name North Deering Tavern, according to Portland Old Port. They are hoping to open in early 2025. (WGME)
5. The 12th Annual Hot Radio Maine Free Turkey Giveaway made Hot by Maine’s Credit Unions is happening Tuesday at the Wells IGA.
