Senators Susan Collins and Angus King signed on to the bi-partisan AM Radio for Every Vehicle Act, which would require automakers to include AM broadcast radio in their vehicles. “AM Radio delivers highway safety information to drivers and critical storm and weather updates to farmers in Maine and across the country,” Senator Collins wrote. The AM signal is also a critical part of the National Emergency Alert System. Some automakers, including Tesla, began removing AM radio receivers from new electric cars last year claiming the tech could cause interference. (WGME)

4. A bobcat is recovering after it was hit by a car in Gorham on Saturday. Police say several people called, saying the animal needed help. The female cat was taken to the Saco River Wildlife Center and has already had multiple surgeries. Maine Game Wardens say it is important to never approach wild animals — even if they are injured.
