1. Multiple people are dead after a small plane crashed during takeoff at Bangor International Airport Sunday night. 2. ICE says more than 200 people have been arrested in Maine during a federal enforcement surge that began last week. Homeland Security claims most arrests involve people charged with or convicted of crimes, but immigrant advocates and state officials say many detainees have no criminal record and raise concerns about due process. 3. Tensions are growing between Maine gun owners and the Trump administration after a federal agent fatally shot a legally armed protester in Minnesota. Gun rights groups, including Gun Owners of Maine and the NRA, are pushing back on claims that carrying a firearm at a protest is inherently dangerous, calling the administration’s rhetoric misleading and unconstitutional.
