Ronda Rousey and Gina Carano will face off in a mixed martial arts bout on May 16th at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles. This will be Rousey’s return to MMA after nearly a decade away from the sport! The fight will be streamed live on Netflix, marking the streamer’s first live MMA broadcast.

Both fighters are trailblazers in women’s MMA, with Rousey being the first female UFC champion and Carano a significant figure before she transitioned to acting. The fight will occur at 145 pounds under the Unified Rules of MMA, contested over five five-minute rounds inside a hexagon cage.
Rousey, a former UFC champion (12-2 record), was dominant in her early career but lost her last two fights in 2015 and 2016 before transitioning to WWE and becoming a successful entertainer. Carano, who has a record of 7-1, has not fought since 2009, and prior to her acting career, was known for her role in bringing women’s MMA into the mainstream spotlight.
