1. 2016 Maine Election results can be found here. Freeport and Kennebunk approve plastic bag bans. Falmouth residents overwhelmingly approved a proposed $10.5 million road construction project for Route 100. The project will pave, widen and update about 2 miles of a busy, mixed-use area along Route 100 on the west side of town. (PH)
2. As many as 50 people were spread out yesterday along Portland’s waterfront looking for a 23 year-old Scarborough man missing since last Friday. Matthew Foster was last seen at a bar in the city’s Old Port. Anyone who thinks they may have seen Foster is asked to call Scarborough Police at 207-883-6361. (WCSH)
3. The medals which will be presented to athletes during the 2016 Rio Olympic Games in August were revealed to the public for the first time on Tuesday. Gold, silver, and bronze medals feature identical images of the Rio 2016 logo on one side and the goddess of victory, Nike, on the other. The Brazilian Mint was commissioned to create the Olympic and Paralympic medals. In all, 5,130 medals will be made. (WCSH)
4. Napster is back in the United States, sort of. Music streaming service Rhapsody is rebranding its U.S. operations under the name of Napster. Rhapsody noted there will be “no changes to your playlists, favorites, albums, and artists. Same music. Same service. Same price.” (Complex)
5. Larry David is bringing back Curb Your Enthusiasm to HBO for a ninth season. “In the immortal words of Julius Caesar, ‘I left, I did nothing, I returned,'” David said of his decision to revisit the comedy series. The last original episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm aired in September 2011. The network has not yet announced a formal return date. (Hollywood)
