2. This past Sunday, nearly 1,300 women swam, biked and ran in the 12th Tri for a Cure, the Maine Cancer Foundation’s largest annual fundraising event. The all-female triathlon has raised more than $16 million for the foundation since 2008. This year, participants raised approximately $2 million. 3. Procter & Gamble, a sponsor of the U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team, is now supporting its members’ fight for equal pay. The company’s Secret deodorant brand says it will donate $529,000 to the team, $23,000 for each of the 23 players, to help close the pay gap. 4. The U.S. Air Force have responded to a Facebook’s group’s efforts to have 450,000 people storm a top secret military base. Conspiracy theorists have always believed that Area 51 in Nevada holds info about alien activities and the group believes that they can discover the truth by storming the base. Air Force spokeswoman Laura McAndrews did not elaborate on the military’s plan to prepare for this, but it is implied that the storming will be countered with force. Deadline
