1. Governor Janet Mills signed a piece of legislation Wednesday to bring more affordable housing to Maine. The plan calls for the state to invest $10 million a year over eight years into creating homes and apartments for low-income families, elderly, and rural communities. That proposal would create more than 1000 additional affordable homes over eight years. (News Center Maine)
2. A federal agency has found that Maine Med failed to protect patients from physical abuse on two occasions last summer in which a security guard and a nurse each allegedly struck patients who were acting violently. (WGME)

4. Researchers have noticed a pattern in fast radio bursts (FRBs) from one source, a spiral galaxy, 500 million light-years from Earth. FRBs are quick bursts of radio waves and typically do not repeat. Canadian researchers identified one series of FRBs with a pattern that occurred every 16.35 days. Possible causes could be an orbital star or a neutron star…or aliens? (CNN)
