1. The U.S. tops 9.2 million Coronavirus cases w/ over 231,000 related deaths. The Maine CDC reported no new deaths and 47 additional cases on Sunday. The statewide death toll is 147 w/ 1,014 active cases.
2. According to the governor’s office, effective Wednesday indoor gatherings will return to a maximum of 50 people, regardless of the building’s capacity. Bars and tasting rooms had anticipated opening indoor seated service today. That has been postponed until further notice.
3. New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut have been removed from exempt status under the State’s travel advisory reinstating 14-day quarantines for visitors from those states. New Hampshire, Vermont and Massachusetts remain exempt from the revisions, but Mills said she might add Massachusetts to the list if trends there do not improve.
4. Tuesday will be the first time in U.S. history that a state applies ranked-choice voting to a presidential election, as Mainers choose among President Trump, Joe Biden and three minor candidates. The ranked-choice system will also apply in the four-way U.S. Senate race.
