2. Alpo Martinez, a drug kingpin turned federal witness, who was portrayed by Cam’ron in the movie “Paid In Full.” was killed in a drive-by shooting in Harlem on Sunday. Police identified the victim Sunday as Abraham Rodriguez, of Lewiston, Maine. That name may have been given to him as part of his witness protection program. Alpo’s last known address was in Maine. 3. Jerry Remy, a Boston Red Sox second baseman who went on to become a local icon as a television broadcaster, died of cancer on Saturday. He was 68. He had a long and public struggle with lung cancer, and drew thunderous applause at Fenway Park earlier this month when he threw out the ceremonial first pitch at a playoff game while using an oxygen tube. 4. The MTA York toll price will rise from $3 to $4 starting today. The E-Z Pass rate will also change. The toll increases are expected to generate an additional $17 million in revenue to help offset the $60 million it lost during the pandemic. (WGME)
