Snoop Dogg has purchased the rights to the Death Row Records brand from MNRK Music Group. Snoop got his start with the label early on and some of his biggest hits were when he was signed to Death Row. His long term plan is to acquire the musical rights to some of Death Row’s music and his own catalog. Snoop said “I am thrilled and appreciative of the opportunity to acquire the iconic and culturally significant Death Row Records brand, which has immense untapped future value. It feels good to have ownership of the label I was part of at the beginning of my career and as one of the founding members.”
