1. Sanford School Superintendent confirmed that Sanford High senior, Lydia Ashline, was killed in a crash in Rochester, NH Wednesday night. Ashline was a passenger in the vehicle that crashed. Police said two other people in the vehicle were not seriously hurt. Special counseling services have been made available to students. (WMTW)
2. Civil lawsuits are now expected in connection with last month’s Lewiston mass shootings. Numerous agencies were notified Thursday to preserve all information related to the shootings by a Lewiston law firm. (WMTW)

More than 1 million people who had contact with Maine state agencies have been caught up in a Russian gang’s international cybersecurity breach, potentially exposing their Social Security numbers, dates of birth and other confidential information, state officials said Thursday. The state has established a website to provide the latest information concerning the hack. A dedicated call center has been established to answer questions. (PH)
4. Walmart is rolling out new “sensory-friendly” hours to help those who become overstimulated feel comfortable while shopping. Starting next week, all US locations will be more relaxed between 8am and 10am. The overhead radio will be turned off, lights will be dimmed, and all televisions will hold a still image to make the environment less stimulating. Walmart stated, “During these hours, we hope our customers and associates will find the stores to be a little easier on the eyes and ears.” (WJ)
