Fast X director Louis Leterrier has finally shared a major update regarding the highly-anticipated eleventh installment of the Fast & Furious franchise. Due to the strikes, he confirmed the sequel will not be released on April 4th, 2025; instead Fast 11 will be delayed to Summer 2026.
During an interview with Collider at a CCXP MX panel, Louis said, “It’s happening. It’s happening very, very soon. I’m able to shoot a little horror movie this summer. I’m finishing my horror movie on September 15th, and I start Fast on September 16th.” He added, “It’s filming early next year, and it’s coming out in 2026, which will be exactly to the day, 25 years since the first one came out.”
The next installment in the Vin Diesel franchise is expected to be the last mainline sequel. I guess we’ll see in a couple of years!
