Sometimes it takes a few attempts before you land where you need to be. For many artists, that means the first moniker they ever went by might be a little embarrassing.
On a recent episode of Drink Champs with N.O.R.E., Wu-Tan’s own Method Man revealed that he didn’t always go by the smooth name that we know him by now. “I think it was, like, Papa Smurf or some shit like that,” to which N.O.R.E. laughed at. MM added, “I was big on the Smurfs. Big time. I don’t wanna talk about this no more.” If you don’t get it right the first time…try again! Safe to say he made a great decision in hindsight.
