1. Maine State Police officials are investigating a crash on Interstate 95 involving a motorcycle and moose that killed a New Jersey man. The moose was also killed as a result of the crash. (WMTW)
2. Bank of America experienced a digital outage on Wednesday. Some customers weren’t able to access their accounts online. Other customers reported seeing a zero balance in their accounts. Once the glitch was fixed a spokesperson said “These tech issues have been resolved. We apologize for the inconvenience.” He added that the glitch wasn’t related to any cyber attack. (LAT)
3. Police in Gorham are warning Mainers to lock their cars after they say 25 to 30 vehicles were broken into overnight Tuesday into Wednesday. Gorham police are also looking for any surveillance video anybody may have from the area. (WGME)
4. Hannaford has issued a recall on fresh salads and pasta meals because of a possible listeria contamination, out of an abundance of caution. There have been no reports of illness, according to Hannaford. (PH)
5. McDonald’s Boo Buckets are returning! The Halloween pails are set to return on Oct. 15. Participating locations will stock up with the fan-favorite Boo Buckets, which come as a Happy Meal but double as a trick-or-treat bag. McDonald’s warns that Boo Buckets will only be available while supplies last. (People)
