1. The FBI has arrested and charged a second Maine man with taking part in the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol. The FBI received a tip on Jan. 11 that Nicholas Patrick Hendrix, 34, of Gorham was overheard talking about the riot, showed video from the riot and said that he had been pepper-sprayed. (WMTW)

2. The U.S. tops 33.2 million covid-19 cases with more than 593,000 related deaths. The Maine CDC reported no new deaths and 122 new cases on Thursday keeping Maine’s death toll at 825 with 112 Mainers hospitalized. More than 51% of Mainers are fully vaccinated. Vaccinations will be offered at Becky’s Diner on June 2 and June 3 from 6 a.m. until 2 p.m. MaineHealth said Becky’s Diner will give $15 gift certificates to anyone who gets vaccinated. (WMTW)

3. OOB has set up free sunscreen dispensers in several locations. It’s paid for with a grant from the Maine Cancer Foundation to promote awareness about melanoma, the most common type of cancer. (WGME)
