1. As the Derek Chauvin trial enters its third week, the judge has said that the jury will likely begin deliberating next Monday. The jury heard from a cardiologist Monday, who testified Floyd’s cardiopulmonary arrest was due to low oxygen, caused by the restraint from Chauvin and other officers. (NEWS CENTER)

2. The U.S. tops 31.2 million covid-19 cases with more than 562,000 related deaths. The Maine CDC reported 1 new death and 296 new cases on Monday bringing Maine’s death toll to 751 with 98 Mainers currently hospitalized. More than 28% of Mainers have been fully vaccinated. (WMTW)

3. According to the CDC, New Hampshire is leading the nation in the Covid-19 vaccination effort with Maine close behind ranking 6th. All six New England states make the top 10 in how efficiently doses are administered. (NEWS CENTER)

Julian Edelman officially announced his retirement in a pre-recorded farewell video at Gillette Stadium posted on social media shortly after the Patriots released him with a failed physical designation.
