1. Accused killer Joseph Eaton appeared in court three days after murdering his parents and family friends in Bowdoin and injuring three more on I-295 in Yarmouth. A dog was also shot and killed in the Bowdoin home. New details emerged from the affidavit, including an alleged note left by Eaton. Eaton’s father refused to give up guns in 2014, preventing Eaton from living with his parents due to his prior conviction for assault. Eaton will undergo a psychiatric evaluation to determine if he can stand trial. (BDN)
