1.The U.S. tops 32.7 million covid-19 cases with more than 582,000 related deaths. The Maine CDC reported no new deaths and 214 new cases on Monday keeping Maine’s death toll at 795 with 131 Mainers currently hospitalized. Over 43% of Mainers have been fully vaccinated. (WMTW)
2. U.S. regulators on Monday expanded the use of Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine to children as young as 12. Maine schools could begin offering vaccinations to 12 to 15-year-olds this month. (WMTW)
3. A family found skeletal remains while cleaning out their late father’s property in Casco over the weekend. The remains are being examined by the chief medical examiner. (WGME)
