1. The United States coronavirus cases are nearly at 1.6 million. America’s death toll stands at more than 94,700. The US has the highest number of confirmed cases globally. (CNN)

2. No new coronavirus-related deaths and 58 new coronavirus cases were reported in Maine on Thursday, the death toll stands at 73 and the statewide case number is 1,877 of which 669 are active. Over 1,100 Mainers have recovered from the virus. Maine is the only state not providing daily negative test data and alone in New England in not reporting cases by town. (PRESS HERALD)

3. Maine State health officials reported an additional 57 cases of COVID-19 late Thursday. The Maine CDC helped to test roughly 100 residents and staff at Cape Memory Care in Cape Elizabeth after a staff member tested positive on Wednesday. 45 residents and 12 staff at the facility tested positive for COVID-19. This represents the largest outbreak reported in Maine at one time. (PRESS HERALD)

4. Traffic on the Maine Turnpike is expected to be light over the normally busy Memorial Day weekend as the state’s tourism economy stays closed and out-of-state visitors stay home. The Maine Turnpike Authority expects traffic to be 30 percent below what it was last year, making it the slowest Memorial Day weekend in 20 years. (PRESS HERALD)

5. Cape Porch Fest! Students all over Cape Elizabeth took to their front porches, driveways, and front yards to perform music for the town. With over 400 students in band across grades 5-12, music could be heard from each student which all combined in the air to form a concert. (NEWS CENTER)
