1. Portland police are looking for suspect in 3 assaults on women. Each of the women was grabbed from behind near or on Congress Street over a period of several weeks, and each victim has given a similar description of the suspect. A white man about 30 years old, 5 feet 7 inches to 6 feet tall, with long blond hair, a heavyset, rugged frame, two or more lower lip piercings, and wearing a baseball cap and glasses. 2. Ford Motor Co. is recalling nearly 1.9 million vehicles in North America to replace faulty passenger-side front air bags. The vehicles affected in the expanded Ford recall are the 2007-2010 Ford Edge, 2006-2011 Ford Fusion, 2005-2011 Ford Mustang, 2007-2011 Ford Ranger, 2007-2010 Lincoln MKX and 2006-2011 Lincoln MKZ, Zephyr and Mercury Milan. 3. A company that has come under fire for aggressive enforcement policies at its parking lots in Portland will relax its practice of booting vehicles with expired parking tickets. Unified Parking Partners, said Wednesday that the company will issue notices to drivers the first three times they overstay their paid time, instead of booting their vehicles. (PH)
4. Minor League baseball team the Buffalo Bisons announced plans Wednesday for a ‘Keep Brady Suspended’ Night at the ballpark. The Bisons are offering buy-one, get-one free tickets to anyone who brings a properly inflated football, which will then be donated to area youth football programs. In addition, the Bisons are offering a 12.5% discount in the gift shop for anyone who brings a Tom Brady jersey or t-shirt too add to the postgame fireworks. The Bisons say anyone named ‘Tom’ or ‘Brady’ will be allowed in, but they will not be allowed to watch the first four innings of game one of the doubleheader. (WCSH)
