1. The woman who allegedly killed a man after driving across a baseball field in Sanford on Friday night is due in court today. Investigators say Carol Sharrow hit and killed Douglas Parkhurst during a game at Goodall Park. Coincidentally, Parkhurst recently confessed to killing a 4-year-old girl in a 1968 hit and run. On Halloween 1968, 4-year-old Carolee Ashby was crossing the street in the town of Fulton with her sister and cousin when she was struck and killed by a passing car. According to the report, it was not until the year 2012 when police say a witness came forward with new information that led them to Parkhurst. Parkhurst then admitted to drinking prior to driving through the city of Fulton on that October night. He told police he hit something, but did not see what he hit, and never stopped.
