1.A day after Iran attacked two U.S. military bases, President Trump said that Iran “appears to be standing down.” Trump said no Americans were injured or killed in the attacks. 2. Thunderstorms and showers brought some relief to Australia on Wednesday as the country continues to battle deadly bushfires. The rain allowed firefighters to consolidate containment lines around more than 110 blazes.
