2. Seventeen-year-old Stiles Zuschlag was born a female but identifies as a male. He was on track to become valedictorian of his class at Tri-City Christian Academy, but before starting the 2017 school year, he was told he was no longer welcome on campus. He says he was given an ultimatum by his school. The first was to repent his sins, admit he’s a female and no longer identify as a male. The second option was to be homeschooled by the Christian academy, or to leave the school and never come back. Stiles went with the third option. Stiles now attends Noble High School in North Berwick, where he feels accepted. (WGME)
