1. President Biden is heading to Europe for an emergency NATO summit tomorrow on Russia’s invasion. He is expected to seek continued unity among Western allies and to announce more sanctions on Russia.
2. The number of COVID patients hospitalized in Maine dropped to 91 on Tuesday, the lowest number since last August. Hospitalizations have dropped 78 percent since a peak of 436 on Jan. 13.
3. Hillary Clinton tested positive for Covid-19 and is experiencing mild symptoms. “I’m more grateful than ever for the protection vaccines can provide against serious illness. Please get vaccinated and boosted if you haven’t already!” Clinton said.
4. The Maine legislature still has to approve Governor Janet Mills’ proposed $850 relief payments, but if they do, the state says the first checks could be sent out beginning in June.
