1. There will be one more Old Port Festival, June 9, before its 46-year run ends, organizer Portland Downtown announced Tuesday. The Old Port Festival, which drew more than 30,000 people some years, had evolved over time. It had drawn complaints at times for excessive drinking and rowdy behavior. (PressHerald)

2. A Mahoney Middle School student has been removed from school and is being investigated for allegedly making threats against the school and students. While the exact nature or substance of the threats hasn’t been described, it was emphasized that no weapon or written list of targets had been found. (PressHerald)

3. Kicking off Maine’s maple season Governor Janet Mills tapped a maple tree on the lawn of the Blaine House in Augusta. “We produce 13 percent of the nation’s maple syrup. We’re the third in the country but we’re the tops in terms of quality and I’ll put our maple syrup next to Vermont and New York’s any day of the week” Mills said. (WGME)

4. Gordon Hayward scored 30 points off the bench, Kyrie Irving had 19 points and 11 assists, and the Boston Celtics ran away from the Warriors early on the way to a 128-95 win Tuesday. Celtics coach Brad Stevens said “we know we haven’t played like that enough but It’s encouraging as a reminder that we can.” (PressHerald)

5. From now until March 31, college students can use Tinder’s new “Spring Break” feature, which allows users to match with others who are heading to the same destinations as them for spring break. The new feature was created after developers noticed huge increases in the app’s usage during March. (WERSM)
