The reboot we’re not sure we needed is officially hitting your screens this Friday as a Hulu exclusive when “White Men Can’t Jump” starring Jack Harlow gets the green light.
This will be Jack’s acting debut and, despite how much I think this reboot needed to happen, I do think Jack’s charisma will carry over well onto the big screen. Harlow has a lot of confidence that that will end up being the case, as he told People Magazine, “Through this film, I was able to gain my confidence as an actor, and to me, this shit is not a side quest. This isn’t a side mission that I’m taking on just to keep the entertainer thing going and make some extra money.”
He noted that there are certain constraints in hip-hop that he feels on the regular, but when it comes to acting he says, “I feel like I could show up and I could be whoever I want to be today. I don’t know, I feel freedom.”
We’ll see just how free come Friday, and who knows, maybe acting will somehow end up being Jack’s bread and butter.
