Billie Jean King has now become the first woman to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in the new sports entertainment category! The 81-year-old tennis legend was joined by friends Magic Johnson and Jamie Lee Curtis at the ceremony. Flavor Flav, Maria Sharapova, and her wife Ilana Kloss also attended.

“Sports are entertainment, and as athletes, we love performing in front of an audience,” Billie said at her ceremony. She added, “The important thing is, I don’t want to be the last one.”

King received the 2,807th star, located near the famed intersection of Hollywood and Vine across from the historic Pantages Theater. Its electronic marque read, “A star for a star. Congratulations Billie Jean King.”
