Arguably one of the biggest years in hip-hop in recent memory, 2018 delivered on all fronts. The biggest stars in the game all released new solo albums (minus Kendrick, who STILL leads in Grammy noms this year), newcomers jumped on the scene with smash hits (think Juice Wrld & Sheck Wes), and mainstream and underground artists alike reveled in the success the year brought upon them.
It’s damn near impossible to put a list together of your favorite tracks from 2018 and have it be less than 50 songs. However, Mr. Carter himself put together a playlist of his 21 favorite tracks. Amongst them, you can find songs from Hov himself, his longtime friend Kanye West, Drake, and more.
Check it out below and see how your 2018 taste compares to Jay’s.
