Drake achieved another major milestone this week when his album If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late became the first album released in 2015 to go Platinum in the United States. According to Billboard, the set album another 8,000 copies in the week ending August 7 to reach a cumulative total of 1.007 million copies sold this year so far. The album, which was released on February 12 Young Money/Cash Money/Republic Records, is actually the second album to sell a million copies in 2015. The first was Taylor Swift’s 1989, which has sold 1.463 million this year. However, that was released in 2014.
