You just have to love April Fools’ Day, so many pranks and gullible people falling for the most ridiculous things only to have that realization of the day’s date slowly dawn on them. When you’re a celebrity with a cult-like following, it’s an easy day to pull a prank on millions of people, so of course Eminem had to get into his trolling bag.
Shady fans are always ravenous for new music, and with Dre spreading the word that a new album from Detroit’s own would be dropping some time this year the hunger only continues to grow. This makes for the perfect time to drop a false album trailer fully equipped with clips of fan comments begging for the new project and even Em captioning the post, “Out Now💥🔥♾️.” That final emoji should’ve been the tell all clue though, as the trailer was merely alluding to his 1996 debut album, Infinite. Fans will just have to run that one back while they continue to wait for a 2024 update.
