It’s been 11 years since one of New York’s best hitmakers of all time, Ja Rule, delivered his album, Pain Is Love 2. And that could linked to a number of reasons. Could it be that he already felt fulfilled with what he had done in his music career up to that point? He surely accomplished more than most artists ever dream of. Could it be the paltry 3,000 total album sales in Pain Is Love 2‘s first week out? That sounds disrespectful (it probably is, sorry Ja!) but for JA RULE, those are numbers that once seemed inconceivable at the top of his game. Maybe he just wanted to focus on and try his hand at some new ventures. All fair reasons!
But the 10+ year hiatus of the man who once upon a time delivered hits like “Between Me and You,” “Mesmerize,” “Clap Back,” “New York,” and more has us on our Dave Chappelle…WHERE’S JA!? And maybe it’s just my love for the nostalgia of 2000’s Hip-Hop and R&B, but I’m interested to hear what he has to offer. Ja gave us an acronym for the album, however, finishing his tweet with #CWWTST. Start guessing the title while we wait and see what Ja has up his sleeve.
In full Album mode… #CWWTST
