Cardi B has broadcasted her feelings about various topics, but now she is sitting down and getting political. The rapper shared a photo of herself with 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders sharing that the two met up to talk.
According to CNN, the two teamed up to film a campaign video for young voters. They discussed issues such as student debt, climate change, and minimum wage. Here is the post that she put on Instagram:
Cardi B asked her followers to give her questions they would ask a democratic candidate and she selected the most popular questions to get answered. Cardi shared that their talk will be released shortly.
Sanders also posted pictures of the meeting to his social media accounts:

Wondering how this random meeting came about? Earlier this month the rapper tweeted about the Vermont senator:

This isn’t the first time Cardi has been vocal about her political views, reacting to multiple situations this past year. She said “I love government. I’m obsessed with presidents. I’m obsessed to know how the system works,” also adding that one of her favorite presidents was Franklin D. Roosevelt.
It looks like we don’t give Cardi B enough credit for being an influential figure for change. This video with Bernie Sanders can change some views for young voters and encourage them to be more educated about who the candidates are.
