The “Free Larry Hoover” concert starring Kanye West and Drake took place in Los Angeles on Thursday night. The show was scheduled to start at 11:00 pm Eastern/ 8:00 pm Pacific, but it was delayed until after midnight East Coast time. Once the event started, Ye’s Sunday Service choir sang several songs, including a spiritual adaptation of Adele’s “Easy On Me.” Kanye and Drake walked down the long stairs of the Los Angeles Coliseum. They headed to the stage, and Kanye rocked first. West took us through a string of his classics like “Jesus Walks,” Golddigger,” “Touch The Sky,” “Stronger,” and “All Of The Lights.” With his spiritual turn, these are songs that many fans didn’t think they would see Ye perform again. Ye sang Drake’s “Find Your Love.”. During “Runaway,” Kanye gave a special shout-out to his estranged wife Kim Kardashian when he said, “Run right back to me more specifically, Kimberly.” Drake took the stage and performed Kanye’s “24.” Social media was a little disappointed by Drizzy’s setlist that included plenty from Certified Lover Boy. There was an online clamor for the classics. During a pause, Drake had this to say about Kanye. He ended the set ended with “God’s Plan.” Kanye returned to the stage to hit some more classics, including “Father Stretch My Hands” and “Ni**as In Paris.” At the end of the show, Drake came back on stage with Kanye, and they performed “Forever.” If you missed it, you can rewatch the concert on Prime Video.
