Mike Posner just climbed Mt. Everest to add a new “chapter” to his book of life, and he did it all to honor his late father. He reached the summit of Mount Everest at roughly 4:35 a.m. local time back on Tuesday, (June 1) which is a whopping 29,031.7 feet tall. No big deal. Posner said in a statement “Before my dad died, he was a criminal defense attorney in Detroit for 40 years. I’ve decided to dedicate my climb to the Detroit Justice Center because they’re doing criminal justice reform work in my city that would make my dad beam with joy.” Posner set up a GoFundMe for the organization and so far has raised over $230,000. Mike Posner did his first interview with CBS This Morning on Tuesday.
