(News) Olympic Committee Plans on Handing out Condoms for Athletes to Raise Awareness for HIV and AIDS

Past Olympic organizers have given out free condoms for the inevitable international athlete hookup in the Olympic Village. For the upcoming Tokyo games, The International Olympic Committee is providing 150,000 condoms for participants, but not for them to use there. Since social distancing will be encouraged because of the pandemic, any bedroom gymnastics is being frowned upon. The IOC said, “The distribution of condoms is not for use at the athlete’s village, but to have athletes take them back to their home countries to raise awareness” of HIV and AIDS.
