Oscar-nominee Timothée Chalamet has signed on to play Willy Wonka in a prequel that will focus on the candymaker’s life before he opened that famous chocolate factory. Deadline says Chalamet will get to show off his singing and dancing skills with several musical numbers set for the movie. This the third time Warner Brothers is rolling with adaptations of the classic novel Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. There was the first film, starring Gene Wilder in 1971 and then Johnny Depp’s 2005 film.
